I am so excited to announce that my poem After Birth has been published in Young Identity’s newest poetry book: Ecosystems of Fury.
It’s always been my dream to be a published writer; to be able to hold a book with my name on it in my hands! If feel so lucky to be published alongside such amazing young poets!
Without giving too much away, my poem is about feeling like your trapped in a constant state of re-birth, your personality recycling itself over and over again.
I am so thankful to Young Identity for this opportunity. They are a Manchester based spoken word and combined arts charity. I’ve been going to their workshops for over two years now and I can not recommended them enough. My friend Eva and I actually joined Young Identity at the same time and now we’ve both been published for the first time together- that feels very special!
